Pedro P. Tenorio and the CIP Task Force to include the Dandan Sewer Line in the list of priority projects.<\/p>\n<p>Topping the list of proposed legislation approved on final reading by the House of Representatives is HB 11-472, which seeks the establishment of an employment referral program for returning CNMI college or technical\/vocational graduates.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, there is no formal employment referral mechanism that exists to assist returning and on-island CNMI College and technical graduates.<\/p>\n<p>If properly implemented, this program will contribute to the reduction in the number of guest workers by hiring graduates for positions formerly held by the nonresident employees.<\/p>\n<p>House Speaker Diego T. Benavente voted against the bill because he believes that it needs further review.<\/p>\n<p>Other bills passed:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 HB 11-484 re appropriating funds from PL 11-78 for the paving of Susupe Sports Complex as well as design and construction of a multi purpose soccer, football and track and field sports stadium.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 HB 11-486 authorizing the appropriation of more than $2 million for various Capital Improvement Projects including road paving in Kannat Tabla, Koblerville Sports Complex, resurfacing of Koblerville Basketball court, sewerline project in Precint 1, construction of a concrete stand for officials at the softball field in Susupe and sewer storm drainage for Precint 4.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 HB 11-481 repealing Section 6 of Public Law 11-79 which sets aside some $2 million  for As Matuis infrastructure Improvement.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 HB 11-485 returning the responsibility of administering the Division of Environmental Quality to the Office of the Governor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The House of Representatives yesterday passed five measures and adopted a House Resolution asking Gov.
