{"id":48683,"date":"1999-11-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"1999-11-05T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/95216cd4-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"1999-11-05T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"1999-11-05T00:00:00","slug":"95216ce5-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/95216ce5-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"DPS deploys officers for Nov. 6 polls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some  29 cadets and police officers will be deployed by the Department of Public Safety on Saturday to ensure a peaceful election on November 6, according to Clyde Norita, DPS assistant chief for special services.<\/p>\n<p>Norita said while previous elections on the island had been generally peaceful, the agency&#8217;s Tactical Response Enforcement Team will be on standby for any untoward incident.<\/p>\n<p>The police officers will escort the transfer of ballots from different polling places to the Multi-Purpose Building in Susupe, where the tabulation will be held.
