The Saipan Golfers Association held their annual Turkey Shoot last Saturday, Nov. 13th, at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort & Country Club West Course with Max I. Castro winning the month’s championship game.<\/p>\n
There were 15 participants in this annual event. Each member was awarded one turkey for the day’s event, which concluded the annual monthly club championship tournament.<\/p>\n
Castro shot 49 in the front and 42 in the back for a total gross score of 91. His 12 handicap gave him a net of 79 for the day.<\/p>\n
There were other players who scored less but are already monthly winners. The following are the list of winners and their respective monthly titles.<\/p>\n

In the closest to the pin contest Joe Demapan won hole No. 3, Frank Sablan hole No. 7, Joe Camacho holes No. 13 and 17.<\/p>\n
For those members who have not received their coupon for one turkey, please contact Ray Diaz at tel. no. 234-5997. The annual banquet and awards ceremony will be held on the last day of the tournament. The time and place will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n
All other SGA members are welcome to participate in the two-day 12-man event, which is being planned tentatively at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort East and West Course on Dec. 4th and 5th.<\/p>\n
