Well, we have a great class for you.  Learn how to save those extra fruits from going to waste<\/p>\n<p>The Family and Consumer Sciences staff of the NMC Cooperative Research, Extension, and Education Service at Northern Marianas College will be holding a mini-workshop on making jam for the holidays.<\/p>\n<p>Two sessions offered:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Saturday, December 4th from 9:00 a.m..-12:00 p.m., and<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Saturday, December 11th from 9:00 a.m..-12:OO p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Topics include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Getting started &#8211; what do I need?<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Canning basics<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Food Safety with regard to canning practices<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Regular and no sugar recipes for canning<\/p>\n<p>The free workshop will include classroom teaching and hands on training.
