Borja, the Marianas Visitor&#8217;s Authority and the Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino are sponsoring the Commonwealth&#8217;s first Christmas festivities in the island municipality on Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999.<\/p>\n<p>The events, scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., will include a parade of over 13 decorated and lighted floats as well as a children&#8217;s candlelight march.  Santa Claus will be present to give away gifts.  Culminating Saturday&#8217;s event is the lighting of over 35 Christmas trees and fireworks.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors are able to travel free of charge from Saipan to Tinian.  Travel schedules from Saipan are 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  The ferry leaves from Tinian at 1:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino will also be offering special room rates for only $40.00 per night.  Hotel guests and restaurant clients will be given free ferry tickets to Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This event should be the best Christmas festivity ever for Tinian.  My staff has worked hard to ensure that all visitors who come to Tinian are in for a beautiful treat of Tinian Christmas Spirit.  When we flip the switch to turn on those 35 trees, it should prove to be a beautiful site.
