DEQ’s Cleanup Brigade’s meeting last month was very eventful. Not only did Tank Beach get a good cleaning, several of the brigade members were awarded for their notable contribution to preservation of Saipan’s beaches. DEQ applauds their continued efforts.<\/p>\n
Next month’s brigade cleanup will be held at Coral Ocean Point Beach in October 7th, 2000. Volunteers can meet at 8:00 a.m. on Coral Ocean Beach, or for those not familiar with how to get to Coral Ocean Point, may meet a DEQ representative at COP parking lot in Koblerville.<\/p>\n
After the cleanup, brigade members who have participated in at least three brigade events will receive their bright green brigade t-shirt. Those members who have participated in at least 10 brigade events will join the ranks of the “Gold” brigade and receive hats. This is a cleanup that shouldn’t be missed. So join DEQ’s Cleanup brigade at 8:00 a.m. at Coral Ocean Point and PICK it UP!<\/p>\n
