Samples collected from the following location contained excessive concentrations of two fecal indicator bacteria \u2013\u2013 fecal coliform and entrococci \u2013\u2013 that exceeded the CNMI Marine Quality Standards.  These bacteria can indicate the presence of human and animal waste in the water,<\/p>\n<p>In order to adequately address public health concerns, DEQ has given the following locations a RED FLAG and advises the public not to fish or swim within 300 feet of these locations in the next 48 hours or until otherwise notified:<\/p>\n<p>Sea Plane Ramp<\/p>\n<p>DPW Channel Bridge<\/p>\n<p>Beach at Hafa-Adai Hotel<\/p>\n<p>Sugar Dock Ramp<\/p>\n<p>DEQ welcomes any inquiries as to the quality of the beach water.
