Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino welcomed the Year of the Golden Snake last Jan. 23 with the traditional blessings and offering ceremony for the most festive Asian holiday of the year.<\/p>\n
The celebration was witnessed by hundreds of guests including government officials. members of the Chinese community, local residents, tourists and the Tinian Dynasty’s staff and officials.<\/p>\n
Hotel General Manager Tom Liu aired optimism about what the new lunar year would bring to Dynasty’s staff and officials.<\/p>\n
“We are prepared to face any difficulty challenges ahead and to achieve our goal of being the leading resort destination in the Pacific,” he said.<\/p>\n
Tinian Dynasty Chair Michael Kwan also expressed confidence that the Year of the Golden Snake will bring unlimited opportunities to the hotel management and staff.<\/p>\n
“I believe that this will lead us to an economic leap for this century,” he added.<\/p>\n
Mayor Francisco M. Borja closed with an inspiring speech, saying that “the Year of the Golden Snake signals the last of the hard years for the Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino and everyone on Tinian.”<\/p>\n
He also stressed the need to work together as families, businesses, and as a community to ensure that success.<\/p>\n
A spectacular mini-fireworks display soon heralded the new lunar year accompanied by a 30 minute lion dance presentation. In Chinese language, the number ‘9’ means ‘longevity’ and ‘forever’ therefore literally 99,999 firecrackers were lit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
