Most teams reached the halfway point in the season.

Two teams remain undefeated and two teams remain winless. The rest are bunched up in a dogfight in the middle of the pack.

The MHS Dolphins (A) (2-3) recorded two wins over the past week to move themselves out of the cellar and into playoff contention. On March 1st they beat Team Anoba (1-3) in a three set thriller.

After crushing Team Anoba 11-3 in the first game, the Dolphin (A) team lost 10-12 in a hard fought game at the net. The youngsters rebounded nicely by winning the third game, 11-8. Tough serves from Brenda John sparked the Dolphins. Marino Piungiulug continued to be a key spiker along with Kashi Kukkun digging and blocking.

The Dolphins are now a force to be reckoned with in the league. In their next game against Sleeping Giants (2-3), the Dolphins again took two out of three to win the match, (11-6, 8-11, 11-6).

“Where is Blaine Rogers?” The Sleeping Giants are asking this question as their superstar and captain is sideline with knee injury. They are also missing left side power hitter Troy “Flash” Williams for the month. “It is time for Bruce to step it up,” said Egghead player Russ Quinn.

It looks to be a long road ahead for the Giants, if they plan to make the playoffs.

Abracadabra (4-2) rebounded from losing to Len’s Scrapshooters (5-0), (11-2, 11-5, 12-10), on March 1st to win their next matches. On Tuesday, they beay T-8 Reef (5-2) in three sets, (11-5, 11-6, 7-11). This was a big game for bragging rights at the Managaha court.

Dimas Omar really wanted the victory, but T-Rex and crew were too string. The sets were tasty and T-Rex was eating plenty. Not to mention, the boost in the standings to keep them in contention for the title.

League Standing

Verizon Eggheads (W-6, L-0, PF-194, PA-101, SW-16)

Len’s Scrapshooters (W-5, L-0, PF-163, PA-86, SW-13)

T-8 Reef (W-5, L-2, PF-179, PA-134, SW-14)

Abracadabra (W-4, L-2, PF-169, PA-121, SW-11)

Castaway Low Lifes (W-2, L-2, PF-166, PA-106, SW-6)

Sleeping Giants (W-2, L-3, PF-129, PA-112, SW-8)

Old Bull & the UN (W-2, L-3, PF-130, PA-116, SW-8)

MacKay Boys (W-2, L-3, PF-106, PA-119, SW-7)

MHS Dolphins(A) (W-2, L-3, PF-130, PA-138, SW-6)

Team Anoba (W-1, L-3, PF-77, PA-126, SW-3)

MHS Dolphins (B) (W-0, L-5, PF-59, PA-163, SW-1)

Low Five (W-0, L-4, PF-35, PA-132, SW-0)

March 1 Games Result

T-8 Reef def.
