The Kagman Community Youth Sports Inc., incorporated on March 8, 2001 as a non-profit corporation, aims to promote a healthy and friendly community.<\/p>\n
This organization is specifically organized to target the youths through many objectives that include:<\/p>\n
\u2022 To promote teamwork among the youths of Kagman as a deterrence against violence, crime, delinquency and other unhealthy activities.<\/p>\n
\u2022 To Involve the youth of Kagman in organized sports competitions.<\/p>\n
\u2022 To facilitate community bound efforts to improve infrastructure and other projects beneficial to the youths, and<\/p>\n
\u2022 to have parents involve in the daily affairs of their children and community so as to enhance parental control and relationship in the home.<\/p>\n
The organization recognizes the following for their support, advise and participation: Rep. Thomas “Inden” Pangelinan who first brought up the idea of organizing a non-profit organization solely to raise fund to support the little league team.<\/p>\n
From this idea, it was expanded to become a youth organization instead of just for the little league team.<\/p>\n
The group also commends parents of the little league team who were and are still very supportive of association’s mission; Senate President Paul Manglona, who provided tremendous energy in jump-starting the organization.<\/p>\n
The organization also thanks Laolao Bay Golf Resort, which sponsored the little league team’s uniform and entry fee through a donation of $2,000.<\/p>\n
The initial officers of the association are: Joseph H. Aldan, president-Kagman II; Glen Dikito, vice president, Kagman II; Florence Togawa, secretary; Patrick Togawa, treasurer; John C. Sablan, member; Dave Dlg. Atalig, member; and Ray San Nicolas.<\/p>\n
Also during the presentation of the check worth $2,000.00 Takahisa Oguma, president of Saipan Laulau Development Inc., stated that he wishes the Kagman community baseball little league team to excel and become champions in sportsmanship.<\/p>\n
