Both teachers submitted proposals which would include training for all Oleai faculty members.<\/p>\n<p>In their notification letters, the teachers were told that &#8220;your proposal represents one of the most innovative ideas within the entire Public School System.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mayolina Hocog received a fellowship for her proposal &#8220;Successful Implementation of Reading, Writing and Learning Strategies.&#8221; Funding for this proposal will provide five workshops for Oleai teachers.<\/p>\n<p>Orpha Singeo is a fellowship winner for her proposal &#8220;Success with Internet teachers in the classroom.&#8221; A series of workshops will be scheduled for teachers prior to the beginning of the 2001-02 school year to provide staff development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two Oleai Elementary School teachers have been awarded Christa McAuliffe Fellowships from the CNMI Public School System.
