{"id":57171,"date":"2001-04-12T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2001-04-12T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/96f6be50-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2001-04-12T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2001-04-12T00:00:00","slug":"96f6be61-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/96f6be61-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Victim survives murder attempt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The suspect to an attempted murder incident that occurred Tuesday night in the Chalan Kanoa residential area is still at large, police said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities are currently probing for leads in this criminal puzzle that left one man injured due to gunshot wounds he sustained in the neck area.<\/p>\n<p>The murder attempt was reportedly staged at around 8pm near Taro Sue in CK after witnesses told police they heard gunshots around the area.<\/p>\n<p>When dispatched police officers arrived at the scene, they came across a white sedan that appeared to have veered off a small roadway, encroaching on a residential fence line.<\/p>\n<p>It was noted that a man was inside the stationary vehicle, positioned at the driver&#8217;s seat and unconscious, police records said.<\/p>\n<p>The man, later identified as a 28-year-old from lower Dandan, apparently had gunshot wounds on the neck and that blood was streaming from the injured area.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. He was admitted and placed under observation though his status is still unknown as of press time.<\/p>\n<p>Police have qualified the case as attempted murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n<p>The responsible party has yet to be arrested, pending investigation.
