{"id":57363,"date":"2001-04-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2001-04-23T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/9735eac3-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2001-04-23T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2001-04-23T00:00:00","slug":"9735ead3-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/9735ead3-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Continental reaches labor pact"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Continental Micronesia, the Asia-Pacific subsidiary of Houston-based Continental Airlines, and the union representing its 350 flight attendants said Friday they have reached a new collective bargaining agreement.<\/p>\n<p>If ratified, the proposed contract will run until June 2005 and improve wages, benefits and work rules, Continental Micronesia and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The terms allow Continental Micronesia to continue to be a competitive force in its markets, while delivering to our flight attendants the rewards they deserve,&#8221; said Bill Meehan, president of Continental Micronesia.<\/p>\n<p>William O&#8217;Driscoll, the union&#8217;s chief negotiator, said he will recommend ratification of the tentative agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Specific terms of the contract were not released.
