{"id":759,"date":"2012-01-10T03:38:17","date_gmt":"2012-01-10T03:38:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=759"},"modified":"2012-01-10T03:38:17","modified_gmt":"2012-01-10T03:38:17","slug":"community-briefs-jan-10-2012-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/community-briefs-jan-10-2012-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Briefs &#8211; Jan. 10, 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Air Force training on Farallon de Medinilla<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Santa Rita, Guam-The Air Force will conduct training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla on the following dates and times:<\/p>\n<p>Jan. 11, from 9am to 4pm<br \/>\nJan. 13, from 8am to 3pm<\/p>\n<p>The public-especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators-are advised to stay clear from the area during the times and dates indicated.<\/p>\n<p>The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla training area will be on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.\u00a0<strong><em>(USN)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Chamber Installation Dinner on Jan. 21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 2012 Saipan Chamber of Commerce Officers and Directors Installation Dinner will be held this Jan. 21, 2012, at the Fiesta Resort and Spa Saipan&#8217;s Hibiscus Hall. Jerry Tan, president of Tan Holdings, will be this year&#8217;s keynote speaker. The Commerce will also announce its 2011 Businessperson of the Year award recipient. SCC will continue with its Installation Dinner tradition and hold a silent auction to raise funds for the Scholarship Awards Program.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for nominations for Businessperson of the Year Award has been extended to Jan. 9, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Reservations for the $50-per-head dinner are being accepted.
