Monroyo)\" width=\"100\" height=\"67\" border=\"0\" \/>\u00a0Micronesian Games veteran Lewie Tenorio was the first Saipan biker to the finish line in last Saturday&#8217;s 5th Hell of Marianas Century Cycle Race and went on to top his age group.<\/p>\n<p>Tenorio completed the 100-kilometer race in three hours, 28 minutes, and 38.41 seconds to rule the men&#8217;s road bike 36 to 45 division, beating 15 other bikers. Tenorio came in 12th overall and his time last weekend was about three minutes faster than his 2010 record of 3:31.02.84. He was also the first male finisher for Saipan in last year&#8217;s century race.<\/p>\n<p>Tenorio defeated perennial rival Butch Sublemente, who was nursing a back problem and timed in at 3:49:50.81 (20th overall) to settle for second place in the 36 to 45 age group. Rounding out the Top 3 was Tyce Mister, who submitted 4:03:18.41.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 14 to 25 division, Guam&#8217;s Tobias Theisen (3:48:55.51) took the top spot against compatriot John Kelly (3:48:55.56), while Saipan&#8217;s Andy Nutting (4:10:35.44) came in at third.<\/p>\n<p>Saipan&#8217;s Aldrin Sta. Ana crossed the finish line first for the 26 to 35 age group, clocking in at 3:43:52.91 and way ahead of Craig Thedwall&#8217;s 4:17:26.88 and Mahesh Balakrishnan&#8217;s 5:16:30.66.<\/p>\n<p>The battle for first place in the 46 to 55 age group was a close one with Cesar Fortaleza timing in at 3:51:01.22 to edge Willy Barbo&#8217;s 3:51:02.72. Russ Quinn completed the Top 3 after recording 4:01:42.31.<\/p>\n<p>Japanese&#8217; Kunio Yagyu defeated two Saipan bets in the 56-and-above age group after posting 4:29:09.09. Danilo Paquerez (4:35:41.56) and Steve Nutting (4:53:47.91) came in at second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Joining the men&#8217;s road bike winners were women&#8217;s champion Maki Nonaka and Kimiko McKagan.
