{"id":80999,"date":"2004-05-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2004-05-13T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/9f4cb4de-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2004-05-13T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2004-05-13T00:00:00","slug":"9f4cb4ef-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/9f4cb4ef-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Abraham graduates from infantry training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PFC Jon Christopher Pangelinan Abraham was among 200 graduates who earned the right to be called \u201cinfantryman\u201d of the U.S. Army\u2019s Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment out of Fort Benning, Georgia, during a graduation ceremony on May 7.  <\/p>\n<p>The only son of Dr. Isamu and Mrs. Tee Abraham, PFC Abraham endured 14 weeks of intensive and rigorous training, which he described as \u201cextremely challenging.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe physical part was tough since I sustained a hip injury during basic training, but the mental part was just as tough and even intense. I probably wouldn\u2019t have gotten through it all without the encouragement of family and friends,\u201d said Abraham.  <\/p>\n<p>Witnessing the ceremony were his parents and sister, Michelle. Also present on behalf of CNMI Resident Rep. Pete A. Tenorio was Jody Abraham, PFC Abraham\u2019s older sister.  <\/p>\n<p>Tenorio conveyed his best wishes in an email: \u201cOn behalf of our people, I congratulate you for your willingness to contribute toward our nation\u2019s and our people\u2019s security.
