Scrap the President’s Day holiday because we can’t vote for the president? What a bummer, if I am allowed to say! Good Uncle Sam, after combining Abe and Georgie together into one President’s Day, now our CNMI legislators want to do their own thing, too. Before I get myself into another media fight, I would like to suggest that the 14th CNMI Legislature let the public vote on this issue in the next general election. Wouldn’t it be great to see and hear from our elected leaders what they have to say in their next campaign as each attempt to count the direct benefits off their fingers or grope for words?

How about the MVA managing director’s position? Let me tell you that I think something is cooking in there and it was not soba because there ain’t people lining up with paper bowls and chopsticks in their hands. Don’t take my word for what it’s worth. A plugged nickel’s worth maybe but it still raises eyebrows, no?

I don’t blame Mr. Santos with a master’s degree for complaining about the faster-than-the-bullet-train-in-Japan action of the MVA board. I could live with the adage, “To the victor belongs the spoils,” but isn’t the scenario being stretched too far?

Use your imagination people, before everyone take turns pulling the wool over your eyes.
