Slowly but surely, 62 hardworking youngsters completed six years of grade-school education and were recognized and honored for their efforts in last Tuesday night\u2019s farewell ceremony at the Oleai Elementary School.<\/p>\n
The students proudly marched their way to receiving their certificates of completion like celebrities as camera bulbs flashed from each direction.<\/p>\n
Spearheading the cast was Maria Victoria C. Con-Ui, who drew a roaring applause for earning the Commissioner\u2019s Award after posting the highest Grade Point Average from fourth to sixth grade.<\/p>\n
Kyle M. Enriquez also had a fair share of applause as she was named the recipient of the Principal\u2019s Award for posting the second highest GPA. Kayleena F. Seman also went home with the Leadership Award while Jessica H. Estrada and Connie P. Limes were recognized with the Honorable Mention awards.<\/p>\n
Other awards presented included Perfect Attendance, Citizenship, A average, Departmental, and Presidential awards.<\/p>\n
The occasion was also graced by the presence of House Speaker Benigno R. Fitial and Reps. Ramon A. Tebuteb and Arnold I. Palacios, as well as acting associate commissioner for instructional services John Guerrero and keynote speaker Athena Tudela.<\/p>\n
In her final note to the students as their principal, Celina Romolor-Route commended the promoted Turtles for their achievement.<\/p>\n
\u201cYour academic completion at [OES] is evident testimony today of all the successful achievements and exceptional performances throughout your school years,\u201d she said. \u201cYour learning experience from K-6 has definitely prepared you to be ready for the next level of challenges you may encounter at a junior high school level. Remember that your learning does not end [Tuesday night], however, you education continues on into your lifetime. Be the best you can be. Enjoy your schooling, continue your schooling, and stay in school.\u201d<\/p>\n
As their way of showing appreciation for their parents, teachers, administrators, friends, and each other, the students wowed the spectators with a sparkling performance of the song When You Say Nothing at All<\/i>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
