The Northern Mariana Islands Tennis Association and the Oceania Tennis Federation will host a children\u2019s tennis clinic for beginners at the American Memorial Park tennis courts.<\/p>\n
The clinics start today, June 4, and will continue the next three days before wrapping up on Tuesday, June 8.<\/p>\n
No less than OTF development officer Lency Tenai will be conducting the tennis clinics.<\/p>\n
Tenai starred on the Pacific Oceania Davis Cup team from 1995 to 2001 and is a Micronesian Games and South Pacific Games gold medalist. He currently travels throughout the Pacific islands teaching tennis to young people. <\/p>\n
The clinics will be held from 3pm to 4pm for children 13-18 years of age and from 4pm to 5pm for children aged 7-12.<\/p>\n
NMITA said the clinics are specifically for those who have had no previous formal tennis training but are looking for an introduction to the game of tennis.<\/p>\n
