He was the youngest student at the time he started learning to play the violin at the school.

“We all practiced really hard for this [recital]. It was really great, we all deserve it,” said Camacho at the end of the performance.

In the recent graduation ceremonies at the Grace Christian Academy, Camacho took the stage to play the U.S. and CNMI national anthems on his violin.

Besides the Eagle’s Award, Camacho was also honored as one of the top 5 students for maintaining high grades.

“I’ve learned to balance my school work, my activities, my social life, and my role at home,” said Camacho.

This was apparent, with Camacho’s long list of academic and social achievements at such a tender age. Camacho was able to impress the school’s teachers and staff with his ability to influence his classmates and his involvement in his local community church.

Zhang underscored the important role that music, and the violin, can play in learning. “The mind functions more when you learn how to play the violin. Where to place your fingers, how your head should be positioned, and how to move your hand makes your mind think faster. If you think faster then you would be good in school because you learn faster.”

James Camacho, a Grace Christian Academy student who was recently honored with the school’s most prestigious prize, the Eagle Award, scored another accomplishment over the weekend when he participated in a violin recital of the Do Re Mi School of Music.

[4

post-81681","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news
["GET
