{"id":81958,"date":"2004-06-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2004-06-18T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/9fc8cff0-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2004-06-18T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2004-06-18T00:00:00","slug":"9fc8d004-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/9fc8d004-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Mobil donates $2,000 to Safe and Sober Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mobil Oil Marianas continued its support of community outreach programs, donating $2,000 to the Safe and Sober Foundation Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Cecile Bamba-Suda, Mobil\u2019s manager for public relations and government affairs, said the oil company annually makes contributions to assist in community awareness on safety.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is one way to contribute to the promoting of educational awareness on various issues, including buckle up, drinking and driving, [and] child restraint,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019re always in support of safety education, health, and environment, and we have identified the Safe and Sober Foundation as a strong partner in promoting safety for and within the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bamba-Suda presented the foundation with the check in front of a safe and sober billboard along Beach Road Chalan Lau Lau across the Quarter Master Road.<\/p>\n<p>On hand to receive the contribution were foundation chair Janice Tenorio and vice chair Sgt. Joe Flores of the Department of Public Safety Traffic Section.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMobil has been in support of our program and has annually been donating $2000 every year since 2000,\u201d said Tenorio. <\/p>\n<p>Tenorio also disclosed that the foundation, with the assistance of Mobil, would add a couple more billboards on child restraint and drinking and driving.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to thank Mobil for their donation to this program,\u201d she said. \u201cWorking with Cecile has been wonderful.
