{"id":82046,"date":"2004-06-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2004-06-21T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/9fccab49-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2004-06-21T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2004-06-21T00:00:00","slug":"9fccab5a-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/9fccab5a-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Pangelinan wins second term at helm of STA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Roy Pangelinan won a second term as president of the Saipan Tennis Association after winning in elections held during the local club\u2019s general membership meeting last Saturday at the American Memorial Park tennis courts.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview early this year, Pangelinan disclosed his intention to run for a second term so he could continue his planned programs for the STA. These include more cooperation with the two other local tennis associations (FILATA and NMITA), conducting more clinics, and increasing STA\u2019s involvement in community and civic undertakings.<\/p>\n<p>Also retaining their position are vice president-internal Nelia Luna, treasurer Ligaya Paculanang, and board member Robert Coracero.<\/p>\n<p>STA\u2019s new set of officers are vice president-external Ricky B. Castro, secretary Agnes Salazar, auditor Lito Santos, PRO Noel Manalang, and board members Richard Asuncion, Babu Malayil, Lope Padilla, and Cleofe Santos.<\/p>\n<p>Pangelinan and the rest of the newly elected officers begin their term for the 2004-2005 calendar year on July 1.<\/p>\n<p>The local tennis association\u2019s outgoing list of officers are: Dr. Alberto Ventura (vice president-external); Ricky B.
