\"Blue\u00a0After the Lenten break, teams returned to their busy schedule and competed in various events at the different venues here.<\/p>\n

In basketball, the DLX\/Miller Lite caging resumed and had its playoff round. After the playoff games for one week, only two teams were left standing with defending champion Blue Haus earning a return trip to the finals, facing the surging QQ Rent A Car. Pennant champion the Sunrisers were eliminated after losing to QQ, while Andhok’s, Mobil, Crytal Pure, and SCS Heavy Equipment were also booted out.<\/p>\n

In athletics, elementary, high school, and junior high teams continued to fight for slots for the 2012 PSS\/McDonald’s All Schools Championships. They completed in qualifying tournaments in throwing, jumping, and running events at the Oleai Sports Complex.<\/p>\n

In football, the boys and girls U15 and boys U18 divisions of the NMIFA spring league started the second round of their respective competitions, while the women’s and men’s leagues also had their separates games at the Oleai and Hopwood pitches.<\/p>\n

In baseball, the Major, Senior, Junior, and Big League divisions continued with their regular season games with the Ol’Aces and Comets still undefeated in their respective fields.<\/p>\n

Still in baseball, the Fielders prevailed over the D-9ers in the Saipan Major League.<\/p>\n

In tennis, Week 1 of the 12th Annual PIC Tennis Championships kicked off with new winners emerging in the junior singles division. The list includes U12’s Carol Lee and Luther Lizama, U15’s Chris Cajigan and Mikayla Lopez, and U18’s Christian Miller and Theecel Minor.<\/p>\n

In the Marianas Interscholastic Sports Organization, Kagman High School won against Marianas High School in their game in the girls fast-pitch softball league, while the Ayuyus also downed the Dolphins in boys soccer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
