{"id":82392,"date":"2004-07-06T01:57:00","date_gmt":"2004-07-06T01:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/9fde2f02-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2004-07-06T01:57:00","modified_gmt":"2004-07-06T01:57:00","slug":"9fde2f16-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/9fde2f16-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Traffic offense nails fugitive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nearly a year after bolting out the CNMI\u2019s immigration detention facility, a Chinese man fell into the hands of authorities when policemen chanced upon him for committing a traffic violation.<\/p>\n<p>Forty-six-year-old Cui Shun Zhe left Saipan for China Saturday pursuant to a deportation order by the Superior Court, according to the CNMI\u2019s immigration enforcement attorney, Eric O\u2019Malley.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Malley said lawmen arrested Cui in Garapan last June 26, after police identified him as one of the three Chinese men who escaped from detention on July 27 last year.<\/p>\n<p>Lawmen earlier captured the two other fugitives\u2014Chengao Jin, 44, and Zhang Min, 20\u2014both of whom were deported to China.<\/p>\n<p>Among the three men, Jin first fell when lawmen captured him on Aug. 18 last year, less than a month after the escape. The following Nov. 2, CNMI operatives nabbed Zhang.<\/p>\n<p>Policemen patrolling Saipan ordered Cui\u2019s vehicle to pull over after the latter reportedly committed a traffic violation, O\u2019Malley said. Court proceedings went on to deport Cui, the attorney said.<\/p>\n<p>The three men escaped from detention by removing a grate and climbing through a window.
