They are not employers\u2019 money at all,\u201d said Attorney General Pamela Brown.<\/p>\n<p>Had the tax deductions been properly remitted to the government, they would have significantly contributed to the CNMI\u2019s coffers. As of press time, though, the amount of unremitted tax deductions was unavailable.<\/p>\n<p>Brown told the business community that one of the CNMI\u2019s attractions for investors is its stable taxation. Brown was guest speaker at the Saipan Chamber of Commerce\u2019s membership meeting held at the Aqua Resort Club\u2019s Raraina Restaurant yesterday noon.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the AGO\u2019s Criminal Division disclosed readying criminal charges against alleged tax evaders who failed to pay income taxes beginning tax year 1999.<\/p>\n<p>Brown said the CNMI\u2019s taxation system complements the CNMI\u2019s control of its immigration in attracting investors.
