After three weeks on the island, the Magic Land Circus will be pushing off for Palau to set up the carnival there. It is uncertain if the carnival will be coming back to Saipan next summer.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s questionable if we might come back next year. We have been missing other places,\u201d said Magic Land impresario Tupa’i Bruno Loyale. <\/p>\n
Magic Land Carnival has been returning to Saipan every summer since 1998. <\/p>\n
This year, the carnival was held at the Hopwood Junior High School grounds. The carnival was held at the Mount Carmel church grounds last year. <\/p>\n
Before arriving on Saipan, Magic Land was in the Solomon Islands. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a continuous operation. We have other places to go to. Every year we make our stop in other places. We can\u2019t stay in one place for long,\u201d said Bruno.<\/p>\n
The carnival features 13, including the Rock and Roll, Giant Swing, Ferris wheel, Flying Chairs, Crazy Spin, Happy-Go-Round, Kiddie Train, Rock O\u2019 Plane, Paratrooper, Merry-Go-Round, Helicopter ride, Octopus Ride, and the Roller Coaster. <\/p>\n
\u201cPeople feel really safe on the rides. That actually makes me really happy. Parents tell me that they feel safe putting their children on our rides and that\u2019s nice to hear,\u201d said Bruno.<\/p>\n
The games in the carnival consist of the Coin Toss, Knock \u2018Em Over, Let\u2019s Go Fishing, Flip a Chicken in the Pot, Ring-a-Pin, Milk Can Game, and Paper in the Pot game. <\/p>\n
Free carnival shows, from 7:30pm to closing, features Bruno\u2019s comedy, Toetu and Coconut the clowns, Pita on the high wire and trapeze, the cat lady contortionist, Ailva the human dragon, and the magic of Mr. FiliFili. <\/p>\n
