8SMC-2RS-73:\tThe Proclamation of the CNMI Police Officers Week in conjunction with the National Police Week scheduled for May 9-15, 2004 and May 15, 2004 as CNMI Peace Officers\u2019 Memorial Day, is a time to recognize, congratulate and commend those Police Officers who are on active duty upholding the rule of law protecting and safeguarding our lives and properties against crimes; to remember those Police Officers who have passed away on natural causes; and to those Police Officers who have been injured and disabled on the line of duty; and to pay tribute to the memory and in honor of those Police Officers who have been shot and killed on the line of duty.<\/p>\n
