This ad campaign celebrating the service of U.S. military personnel hailing from the CNMI is courtesy of the office of Rep. Claudio K. Norita. <\/p>\n
Norita\u2019s ad campaign, dubbed \u201cCNMI Heroes: Fighting against tyranny, defending freedom and democracy,\u201d is also proudly co-sponsored by House Speaker Benigno R. Fitial, Vice Speaker Timothy P. Villagomez, and Rep. Ray N. Yumul.<\/p>\n
Norita and his colleagues are sponsoring the ads to pay tribute to the service and sacrifices of CNMI residents who have enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces and are stationed overseas. <\/p>\n
\u201cI think it is very important for us to recognize the patriotic contributions of our local servicemen and women, and let them know how much we care about them, so that their morale remains high.,\u201d Norita said.<\/p>\n
As part of this morale boosting campaign, Norita\u2019s office continues to invite family members of deployed U.S. servicemen to submit names and photographs of loved ones currently serving aboard, particularly in Afghanistan and Iraq.
