KIDNAPPING CHARGES FILED VS MAN<\/p>\n
A 54-year-old man is facing criminal charges for confining a woman at an undisclosed place on Saipan against her will.<\/p>\n
The suspect, Mariano M. Armenta, also allegedly attacked the woman while she was under confinement last Aug. 11.<\/p>\n
CNMI chief prosecutor David Hutton said the woman\u2019s confinement was for \u201ca substantial period to inflict bodily injury on or to terrorize the victim.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hutton filed with the Superior Court charges of kidnapping, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace against Armenta. <\/p>\n
ANOTHER BURGLARY CASE REPORTED<\/p>\n
Authorities disclosed solving another burglary case, identifying the suspect responsible for stealing jewelry from an establishment in Chalan Kanoa.<\/p>\n
Lawmen identified the suspect as Hilario Tegita Angui, 21. He allegedly entered the premises of one Yun Kee Park to steal valuable items.<\/p>\n
CNMI chief prosecutor David Hutton said Angui managed to steal a set of jewelry worth some $3,000.<\/p>\n
