HJHS PTA\/PTSA MEETING TODAY<\/p>\n
The Hopwood Junior High School will hold its PTA\/PTSA meeting today, Sept. 9, at 6pm, at the Napu Room at the Pacific Islands Club.
\nThe agenda will include the Principal\u2019s Report, the PTSA Officers\u2019 Report, and election of vice president, among others.

PSS SPED PROGRAM MEETING TODAY<\/p>\n
The Public School System\u2019s Special Education Program will be conducting a Special Education State Advisory Panel meeting today, Sept. 9, from 11am to 3pm, at the Pacific Gardenia. The meeting is open to the public. The agenda will be disclosed at the meeting.<\/p>\n
SEPTEMBER EVENTS AT GES<\/p>\n
Cultural Heritage Month ends with Cultural Day at the Garapan Elementary School. If parents would like to prepare booths or presentations, call GES at 664-3955.
\n* Sept. 10, 2004, is the deadline for Free Meal Applications;
\n* Sept. 10, 2004-GES will be having a special flag ceremony in remembrance of 9\/11. \u201cWe will wear patriotic colors.\u201d
\n* Sept. 15, 2004 is Pizza Hut Night. Proceeds will help fund this year\u2019s handbook for parents\/students.
\n* The week of Sept. 20, 2004 will be school picture week.
\n* Sept. 30, 2004 is PTA Night at 6pm in the school cafeteria.
\nMore information regarding these activities will be disseminated as the month progresses, the school said in a statement.
\nThe school also extended its gratitude to 99 Cent Supermarket, which donated rakes to teachers for the campus clean up after Supertyphoon Chaba, and to the Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office for property disposing of debris from the typhoon.<\/p>\n
KOBLERVILLE OPEN HOUSE TOMORROW<\/p>\n
Acting principal Eric DLG. Evangelista of Koblerville Elementary School would like to inform the community of upcoming events at Koblerville Elementary.
\n* Open House to be held tomorrow, Sept. 10, at KES from 2:45pm to 4:30pm. All parents are encouraged to come.

Applications for Saipan Higher Education Financial Assistance are now available online and can be downloaded by accessing its website: www.saipanshefa.com.<\/p>\n
This option is especially helpful for those students who are currently abroad, and qualified to avail of this assistance.<\/p>\n
The scholarship, which is under the Municipality of Saipan, Office of the Mayor, aims to provide supplementary financial assistance pursuant to Saipan Local Law 13-21, to qualified residents of Saipan (inclusive of the Northern Islands) in pursuing postsecondary education on Saipan or abroad.<\/p>\n
Under the rules, ongoing applicants need to submit official sealed transcript, valid Saipan municipal ID No., and official class registration. New applicants are asked to submit acceptance letter into a higher education institution, proof of one year residency on Saipan, most recent official sealed transcript, and valid Saipan ID. number.<\/p>\n
Completed application and supporting documents must be submitted to SHEFA at the Mayor\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
