{"id":83935,"date":"2004-09-11T02:55:00","date_gmt":"2004-09-11T02:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a08cdad0-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2004-09-11T02:55:00","modified_gmt":"2004-09-11T02:55:00","slug":"a08cdae0-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a08cdae0-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Foundation continues wheelchair giveaway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CNMI-Wheelchair Foundation continued its distribution of free wheelchairs at the East-West Rental warehouse on Middle Road yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The distribution took place at 10am.<\/p>\n<p>Local coordinator David Ayres said the remaining items that were given out were sizes 12, 14, and 16.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 280 new wheelchairs arrived on Saipan for free distribution to eligible CNMI residents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe goal is to give every child, teen, and adult who can\u2019t afford one. There\u2019s a lot of them here,\u201d said Ayres.   <\/p>\n<p>Ayres said the CNMI office had successfully raised $21,000 from local businesses and residents, which was used to pay for half of the total price.
