Rozwadowski, the funds for the donation came \u201cfrom a fund administered by the medical staff executive.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome individual physicians have made their own donations to the American Red Cross. These donations are not reflected in this group\u2019s donation and would be in addition to this donation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>ARC-NMI Chapter executive director John I. Hirsh, along with board chair Jocelyn Guerrero, received the donation at the DPH office. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just can\u2019t thank the medical staff here at CHC enough,\u201d Hirsh said. \u201cThey\u2019ve been very supportive of our whole disaster program\u2026 The Hillbloom Foundation played an important role in funding some of the prenatal equipment that the Red Cross donated to the hospital, and it\u2019s just great to see the hospital staff recognizing the good work that we\u2019re doing here in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The American Red Cross has already issued over $1 million in total assistance to the victims of the supertyphoon.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Hirsh disclosed that the Red Cross disaster relief drive raised $156,000 in cash and about $70,000 more in donations from local businesses and community members.
