The contest will have a 32-man field and will be a single elimination, race to seven wins series.<\/p>\n<p>Zheng said the $1,000 prize money involved matches the biggest purse offered by a billiard hall on Saipan in recent years. <\/p>\n<p>He said those interested should reserve slots as soon as possible as only the first 32 players that sign up get to play in the mega big bucks tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The first night of the tournament will be played to determine the top eight qualifiers. The Top 8, meanwhile, will duke it out on the second day of competition. <\/p>\n<p>The first three placers then get to divide the $1,000 pot. The second runner-up gets to line his pockets with $200, the runner-up goes home with $300, while the champion of the two-day pool extravaganza bags the $500 grand prize.<\/p>\n<p>Entry fee for the $1,000 billiard event is $30 per person and pairings will be done through a draw, which date will be announced at a later time according to Zheng. <\/p>\n<p> \u201cI hope this would be an exciting tournament. I\u2019m inviting all the top pool players on the island to compete and give themselves a chance at winning a big payday,\u201d said Zheng.<\/p>\n<p>Top Pool Bar is one of the newest and more spacious billiard venues in town.
