Five Oleai Head Start parents completed a Motheread\/Fatheread Story Sharing Course where they were introduced to exciting children\u2019s literature and taught how to make reading with their children more thrilling. <\/p>\n
The five mothers attended the eight weekly classes facilitated by Bertha Leon Guerrero to learn how to motivate their young children to be interested in reading as well as sharing quality learning time with their children. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis program is really important to me,\u201d said participant Lovely Kapileo. \u201cIt really helped me see how I can help my kids by the way I read to them and by what I read.\u201d<\/p>\n
Motheread\/Fatheread\u00ae is a free parent literacy program available in the CNMI for any person interested in learning how to read better with their children. <\/p>\n
It is sponsored in part by the CNMI Council for the Humanities and in part by donations of generous donors. <\/p>\n
