In the Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 issue of the Saipan Tribune, you mentioned in your article \u201cDekada starts lobby efforts in DC\u201d that the Dekada Movement and the Japanese Consulate on Saipan are also arranging a meeting, after our office allegedly has expressed an interest in looking into the efforts being made by the movement, quoting Mr. Bonnie Sagana.<\/p>\n
First of all, it is customary before printing such statements to verify the information with the concerned parties, and we have at no time been contacted by you with regards to this matter. Secondly, there has never been any meeting nor are any arrangements being made for such a meeting between our office and the Dekada Movement.<\/p>\n
I would greatly appreciate it if in future you would check your facts more carefully before printing such statements.<\/p>\n
