David said the female victim, 34-year-old Mei Yu Zhou, had just finished shopping at the establishment at about 9:40pm. She had proceeded to her vehicle and secured her shopping bags in the back seat. While waiting for her driver on the front passenger seat, she noticed a hand reaching into the car and grabbing her purse, which was hanging on her left arm.<\/p>\n<p>David said the victim was not able to identify the suspect but described him as dark complexioned, wearing a black shirt and a black cap.<\/p>\n<p>The victim told responding officers that the suspect ran away, heading south from the scene, taking with him a pink purse containing about $500.<\/p>\n<p>The incident was reported at about 10:48pm.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information regarding the crime may contact the Department of Public Safety.
