{"id":86479,"date":"2004-12-16T06:04:00","date_gmt":"2004-12-16T06:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a1ae5732-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2004-12-16T06:04:00","modified_gmt":"2004-12-16T06:04:00","slug":"a1ae5743-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a1ae5743-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"About 50 join JSTA beach cleanup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Japan Saipan Travel Association had their yearend beach cleanup on Dec. 11 at Micro Beach between the 13 Fishermen Memorial and Puerto Rico pathway. <\/p>\n<p>Approximately 50 members from JSTA, the Hotel Association of Northern Marianas, the Northern Marianas Operations Diving Association, Japanese Society and MVA participated in the cleanup.  <\/p>\n<p>Lunch hosted by JSTA followed after the event. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is very important that we maintain beautiful beaches for tourists as we are expecting a lot of tourists for Christmas and New Year\u2019s vacation period and we hope that they will enjoy our beaches and have a memorable trip,\u201d said JSTA president Osawa. <\/p>\n<p>In July this year, a total 100 participants joined JSTA in cleaning up the beach pathway from Garapan to Susupe.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe CNMI is fortunate to have associations such as JSTA that is very involved and a strong advocate about keeping our island beautiful.  We need these types of community effort to send a positive message out to the community.
