{"id":86490,"date":"2004-12-17T05:07:00","date_gmt":"2004-12-17T05:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a1ae81a8-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2004-12-17T05:07:00","modified_gmt":"2004-12-17T05:07:00","slug":"a1ae81b9-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a1ae81b9-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Rota waters green-flagged"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Waters along Rota\u2019s recreational beaches and storm drainages were given a green flag yesterday after samples collected showed no excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria.<\/p>\n<p>The Division of Environmental Quality analyzes water samples collected from Rota\u2019s recreational beaches and storm drainages every month as part of the regularly scheduled sampling. <\/p>\n<p>In the latest samplings, the agency said none of the samples contained concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria that exceeded the CNMI Marine Water Quality Standards. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, DEQ assigns all of the sampled beach sites a green flag. Enjoy our waters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DEQ analyzed samples of marine recreational and storm drainage water from 12 locations on Rota Island this week. DEQ welcomes all inquiries as to the quality of the beach water.
