Lin presented Karidat executive director Angie Guerrero with a check for $2,000, and then spoke to the assembled SGMA general membership about how very much he wished this tradition could continue as long as the industry remains viable in Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>Lin explained that, as long as the factories are operating on Saipan, they should, and will, make this annual contribution to the community-based social service organization. <\/p>\n<p>As Lin stated, \u201cIt is the industry\u2019s privilege and duty to be a part of the social responsibility that Karidat Social Services exemplifies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SGMA made the presentation at their annual association Christmas gathering and luncheon on Dec. 17 at AJ\u2019s Restaurant. More than 50 members and guests enjoyed luncheon, jokes and a lively raffle conducted by SGMA executive director Richard A. Pierce, disguised as Santa Claus.<\/p>\n<p>SGMA also conducted its annual election of officers and directors. Installed as directors were James C. Lin from United International Corp., Eloy Inos from Concorde Garment Manufacturing, Dal-Eon Chung from Neo Fashion Inc., H.K.
