enjoy those candy canes and treats to eat
\nwhen New Year arrives its back on your feet
\nfor willful walking and other exercise
\nto take off those pounds we all despise<\/p>\n
who cares for now? what smells so good?
\nit\u2019s time for chow in the neighborhood
\neating repeating and eating again
\nwe will stop but who knows when<\/p>\n
bifstek with smashed potatoes and gravy
\ngollai hagun suni and beans ala navy
\nkadun pika, kankong and mustard greens
\nfresh baked pumpkin pie now enters the scenes<\/p>\n
sashimi, chachalon and fish head stew
\nbirenghenas no ma lechi niyok with titiyas too
\nwonton soup, lumpia and sweet and sour pork
\nall flow down the gullet with chopstick or fork<\/p>\n
more turkey and dressing and cranberry jelly
\nand fattening pastries to fill up your belly
\nfor those who say humbug so sour and dour
\ntry smiling and singing you\u2019ll soon feel the power<\/p>\n
remember those who are less fortunate than you
\nput yourself in their shoes and you\u2019ll know what to do
\nwell friends that\u2019s all for now \u2013 I gave it a lick
\nhave some holiday fun with or without St. Nick<\/p>\n
