The Northern Marianas Amateur Sports Association and the Basketball Association of the Northern Mariana Island will have their respective monthly meetings next week.<\/p>\n
The governing sports body of the CNMI will conduct its meeting on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, beginning 7:30pm at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium conference room.<\/p>\n
All board members of NMASA are required to attend the meeting. Sports associations sending athletes to the Palau 2005 South Pacific Mini Games must also send a representative. Partial payment for airline tickets and per diem for sports associations and athletes going to Palau are due at this date.<\/p>\n
Nominees for December athletes and student athletes of the month would also be decided. NMASA also announced that the board would be taking a vote on who will be enshrined to the NMASA Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n
BANMI, meanwhile, would have its meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2005, also at the Ada Gym conference room starting at 6:30pm. Topics to discussed in the agenda are the wrinkles in the ongoing 2004 Government Basketball League and updates about the 35-and-over Masters Basketball League and 25-and-under Basketball League.<\/p>\n
