Lizama was convicted of conspiracy to distribute shabu. known in layman\u2019s terms as \u2018ice,\u201d on June 25, 2004.<\/p>\n<p>The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Court chief judge Alex Munson last Jan. 13. The court also stated a recommendation for the defendant to participate in substance abuse and vocational programs as approved by the U.S. Bureau of Prison as well as pay a $2,000 fine.<\/p>\n<p>Lizama was also remanded to the jurisdiction of U.S. Marshals, which will transfer him to prison.<\/p>\n<p>After serving his jail term, Lizama will be required to undergo a four-year supervised release, on special condition that he would undergo drug testing within 15 days of his release and another couple of drug tests in the future.
