{"id":87302,"date":"2005-01-19T03:06:00","date_gmt":"2005-01-19T03:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a20f6604-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2005-01-19T03:06:00","modified_gmt":"2005-01-19T03:06:00","slug":"a20f6615-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a20f6615-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank offers several college scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HAGATNA, Guam\u2014For the second consecutive year, the Bank of Guam is offering local high school seniors an opportunity to apply for up to $5,000 in grants through its participation with the 2005 Education Exchange college program.<\/p>\n<p>Totalling $50,000 in grants for 2005, the Education Exchange Program is open to all college-bound, high school seniors graduating this year. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be able to provide written acceptance to an accredited four-year college by May 15, 2005. Other information includes an official copy of the high school transcript and two letters of recommendation.<\/p>\n<p>Students must mail their completed applications and supporting documents directly to the ACCEL\/Exchange Network in New Jersey.  The deadline is March 15, 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Under the Program, a total of four $5,000 grants and 30 $1,000 grants will be awarded by July 2005.<\/p>\n<p>In the Bank of Guam\u2019s first year of participation last year, Anita Lai, an Academy of Our Lady of Guam senior, was awarded a $1,000 grant.
