{"id":87417,"date":"2005-01-23T02:11:00","date_gmt":"2005-01-23T02:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a2103d53-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2005-01-23T02:11:00","modified_gmt":"2005-01-23T02:11:00","slug":"a2103d64-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a2103d64-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Tigilau in Who\u2019s Who Among America\u2019s Teachers list"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A select group of America\u2019s teachers are being honored by their toughest critics\u2014their former students\u2014in the eighth edition of Who\u2019s Who Among America\u2019s Teachers, 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Fasefulu Raymond Tigilau, a teacher at Kagman Elementary School, has been nominated by a former student as one who has shaped and inspired the student\u2019s current achievements.<\/p>\n<p>Students were requested to nominate the one teacher from their entire academic experience who made a difference in their lives by helping to shape their values, inspire interest in a particular subject and challenge them to strive for excellence. Students also mentioned enthusiasm about their subject and the knowledge their nominated teachers demonstrated in the classroom.<\/p>\n<p>All of the 114,000 teachers honored in Who\u2019s Who Among America\u2019s teachers were nominated by former students who themselves are currently listed in Who\u2019s Who Among American High School Students, Who\u2019s Who Among American High School Students\u2014Sports Edition or The National Dean\u2019s List.<\/p>\n<p>Parke H. Davis, chairman, National Academic Affairs, has said, \u201cThere is no greater honor teachers can receive than to be recognized by former students for their excellence and dedication.
