Guerrero was elected as the board\u2019s chair. Guerrero joined the council\u2019s board in 1992 and served two terms as chair during his original nine-year tenure. He was reelected to the board in 2003 and served as its vice chair for the past year.<\/p>\n<p>The board also elected Felicidad Ogumoro as the new vice chair. Ogumoro originally was elected to the council\u2019s board at its inception in 1991 and reelected to a fourth term in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Alvaro A. Santos was tapped as the board\u2019s new secretary\/treasurer. Santos joined the board in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Outgoing officers are chair Dr. Elizabeth D. Rechebei, Guerrero, and secretary\/treasurer Galvin S. Deleon Guerrero.<\/p>\n<p>These newly elected officers will serve a one-year term.<\/p>\n<p>The Humanities Council is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to bringing quality humanities programs to the Commonwealth.
