Palacios, 20, was arrested in San Antonio\/Afetnas on charges of assault, assault and battery, criminal mischief, disturbing the peace, and minor consuming alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>At yesterday&#8217;s hearing, Superior Court associate judge Kenneth L. Govendo imposed a $10,000 cash bail for the defendant&#8217;s temporary release.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary hearing will be on Dec. 29 at 9am.<\/p>\n<p>Police served the arrest warrant to Palacios&#8217; co-defendant Kevin I. Esteves, 21, on Thursday night in Garapan on the same charges.<\/p>\n<p>During Friday&#8217;s hearing, associate judge David Wiseman imposed a $500 cash bail on Esteves.<\/p>\n<p>Palacios and Esteves were arrested shortly after the incident, but were later released as police then conducted further investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the victim, John Hamilton, sustained a swollen and bruised right eye and lip. The driver&#8217;s side window of Hamilton&#8217;s Nissan pickup truck was damaged.<\/p>\n<p>Police said preliminary investigation showed that Esteves and Palacios beat up Hamilton outside Ace Pool Bar after he refused to shake hands with Esteves.<\/p>\n<p>The victim later managed to run and hide in the same building.
