Shell gas stations on Saipan increased pump prices anew by 6 cents a gallon last midnight, a week after adjusting gallon prices by up to 7 cents.<\/p>\n
Shell Guam Inc. retail manager Fred Keller attributed the decision to increased crude oil costs in Singapore.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe costs of crude oil and finished products in Singapore, where Shell sources its fuel, have reached historical highs, necessitating a movement in our pricing,\u201d Keller said.<\/p>\n
\u201cShell is aware of the impact the continued rising price of fuel has on our customers. We continue to control operating expenses while monitoring supply costs, so we will be able to reduce our pump prices as soon as possible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Shell stations now peg its gallon prices of regular and premium gasoline at $2.979 and $3.119, respectively, at full-serve rate. Their self-serve rate now sells at $2.849 and $2.999 per gallon. The price of diesel increased to $3.139 per gallon at full-serve rate.<\/p>\n
