{"id":92702,"date":"2005-08-07T01:40:00","date_gmt":"2005-08-07T01:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a445a008-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2005-08-07T01:40:00","modified_gmt":"2005-08-07T01:40:00","slug":"a445a01b-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a445a01b-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"PIC, Quitugua win Cook-A-Rainbow Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pacific Islands Club and Noel Quitugua appealed to the discriminating palates of the judges in last week\u2019s 2005 EcoArts Festival Cook-A-Rainbow Challenge held at the American Memorial Park.<\/p>\n<p>The San Antonio resort and Quitugua won the challenge in the Professional and Non-Professional categories, respectively, by both answering the competition theme of what does food have to do with the environment.<\/p>\n<p>PIC took home a whopping $600 in cash for the expert category, while Quitugua bagged the $300 cash prize for the amateur competition.<\/p>\n<p>PIC competed with two other professional food experts from Aqua Resort Club and Dai-Ichi Hotel Saipan Beach.<\/p>\n<p>Aqua Resort Club entered its own \u201cRainbow Mahi Mahi,\u201d while Dai-Ichi Hotel had \u201cLocal Vegetables and Local Tuna Fritter and Jellied.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the end PIC\u2019s \u201cMacadamia Nut Crushed Tuna on Spinach\u201d topped them all.<\/p>\n<p>In the non-professional category, Quitugua competed with the following entries: Ignacio S. Concepcion\u2019s \u201cIke\u2019s Beef Garden Stir Fry,\u201d Phyllis Ain\u2019s \u201cA Frenzy Flavor-Island Pork Tenderloin Salad,\u201d Jesus M.
