In fact, it won\u2019t be coming through Micronesia on its 2005\/06 tour due to the increased cost of transportation in the region.<\/p>\n<p>In an Aug. 6 letter to its contacts on Saipan, in Palau, and Pohnpei, a copy of which was provided the Saipan Tribune, Dick Beaulieu of Bruno\u2019s Magicland said that, after 17 years of entertaining families throughout the region, the cost of moving people and equipment has reached the &#8220;breaking point.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn essence, we rely to a large extent on the cooperation and goodwill of shipping companies and airlines in the region to be able to bring the Magic Circus to the people the Pacific Islands. Unfortunately, this is no longer forthcoming in the case of Micronesia. PM&#038;O appears to be in a shaky position, Kyowa is unwilling to help and we have been unsuccessful in getting even a group fare quotation from Continental Micronesia,\u201d Beaulieu said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs disappointing as this is to us, we know it will be even more disappointing to the thousands of families throughout Micronesia that eagerly look forward to \u2018the circus coming to town\u2019 every year. However, we will continue to look for ways to resolve the situation; one of these is that Bruno is intent on acquiring a \u2018circus ship,\u2019 which will solve the basic problems we have moving the show around the Pacific today,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno\u2019s Magicland was on Saipan last year in time for the Liberation Day festivities, setting up camp at the Hopwood Junior High School grounds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Magic Circus of Bruno\u2019s Magicland will not be coming through Saipan this year.
