{"id":93035,"date":"2005-08-18T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2005-08-18T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a45fcbf0-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2005-08-18T06:00:00","modified_gmt":"2005-08-18T06:00:00","slug":"a45fcc00-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a45fcc00-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"PIC renovates facilities to the tune of $1.5M"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Pacific Islands Club on Saipan is investing some $1.5 million to renovate its facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe always want to keep that image as top hotel,\u201d said PIC general manager Jerry John.<\/p>\n<p>The PIC, which is popular among tourists and residents for its waterpark and lunch buffet, will have a new swimming pool equipped with waterslide, fountains, seesaw and interactive toys for kids and toddlers. It will be known as the Siheky\u2019s Splash Zone.<\/p>\n<p>The ongoing renovation includes PIC\u2019s fa\u00e7ade and the construction of a two-tiered driveway.<\/p>\n<p>It also aims to have a more spacious lobby, with an extension of the observation deck for a better view of the PIC facility. The lobby will have new furniture\u2014both traditional and modern\u2014that will not only add color to the area but also make guests feel more comfortable.<\/p>\n<p>John disclosed that the renovation would be completed by September.
